Over the last several months I have born witness to the actions of one local hospital as they pertain to the care of my mother-in-law. The hospital here, which is now under investigation by the New York Department of Health for our complaints, was my first tangible example of what has changed in health care. Having my parents’ generation as a living example of what used to be considered health care, or doctoring, or even nursing to compare with what exists now, I can safely say things are definitely for the worse.
