     This week's show features stories from China Radio International, Radio Netherlands, Spanish National Radio, Radio Havana Cuba, and the Voice of Russia.
From CHINA- N Korea has decided to halt reunions of families separated by the border, a response to S. Korea stopping aid after the recent missile tests. Then a report from Lebanon where Israeli attacks are destroying much of the infrastructure- the French UN ambassador and others are trying to intervene.
From NETHERLANDS- More on Lebanon- first a reporter on the ground describes the scene in Beirut, while commenting on Israel's long list of targets and the US government’s permission to show no restraint. Then Lebanon’s Social Affairs Minister accuses Israel of targeting food warehouses and factories, while pointing out that Hizbollah does not represent the Lebanese people. Amnesty International reports that more than 2000 women and girls have been murdered in Guatemala since 2001, and that the police and courts are not solving these crimes.
  From SPAIN- Chile's Supreme Court has reopened its human rights case against former dictator Pinochet. Ecuador has extended its ban against former President Guiterrez running for public office. Residents of Sao Paulo Brazil are overwhelmingly in favor of the use of the military to stop gang violence.
 From CUBA- In Mexico, the tension following the questionable results of the Presidential election continued to rise, as over a million people protested in Mexico City- candidate Obrador called for citizens to use civil disobedience to force a ballot by ballot recount.
From RUSSIA- Former Russian Prime Minister Primakov said that the Israeli attacks in Gaza and Lebanon are more than a response to the kidnappings by Hizbollah and Hamas- it is an attempt to create an all-out war in the region.
