5 Years – How Many More?

Dear <progressive, peace & justice group>:
As the 5th Anniversary the U.S. Invasion and Occupation of Iraq approaches, a coalition of Capital Region Peace & Justice groups is coming together to plan a march & rally in Albany on March 22, 2008: “Remembering the Fallen – 5 Years – How Many More?” (www.rememberingthefallen.org/), to say:
1. Bring The Troops Home – End The War Now!
2. Reparations to the Iraqi people!
3. Money for Jobs, Health Care, Education and Community Needs, Not Occupation!
4. Full Benefits for Returning Veterans!
5. Restore Our Constitutional Rights!
6. No Torture!
7. No War on Iran!
Last year, over 1,000 people participated in the Albany Peace Walk carrying the names of fallen soldiers to protest the 4th anniversary of the War on Iraq (www.rememberingthefallen.org/index_2007.php), and we hope to build on this. In order to show that the Capital Region stands united calling for and End to the Occupation of Iraq, we are asking all local progressive, peace, & justice groups to join us.
