CAPITAL REGION MOVEON MEMBERS HOLD
“HUNGRY FOR CHANGE” BAKE SALES

NATIONAL BAKE SALES KICK OFF
QUEST TO WIN GENERAL ELECTION

This SATURDAY and SUNDAY, MoveOn members in Albany, Troy, Saratoga, N.Chatham & Hillsdale will hold “Hungry for Change” bake sales to raise money to help elect Barack Obama in November. These bake sales will be part of over 700 around the country to kick off MoveOn.org’s general election campaign, and proceeds will go to fund the progressive PAC’s election efforts.

The enthusiastic response of MoveOn members to the “Hungry for Change” bake sales is another example of the incredible grassroots energy that has built the foundation of Senator Obama’s candidacy for the White House. Millions of small donors and armies of volunteers have helped Senator Obama secure the nomination, including MoveOn members. MoveOn.org endorsed Obama on February 1st and members have been active in every primary contest since then.

"Hungry for Change" is modeled on MoveOn.org's 2004 "Bake Back the White House", which generated hundreds of thousands of dollars and was attended by tens of thousands of volunteers.

“After eight years of failed Bush policies, Americans are hungry for change this November,” said MoveOn member Tom Adcock of North Chatham. “These bake sales are a fun and yummy way to engage our community and allow everyone to help elect Senator Obama—one cookie at a time.”
